The Great Spotted Woodpecker

The great spotted woodpecker eats mushrooms every once in a while. Woodpeckers are known to peck wood to catch insects or to build their nests. Woodpeckers carry wood-eating fungi, which cause wood rot in the tree, making it easier for them to carve out cavities. This painting is made with watercolor on 300gsm watercolor paper. It was painted for the art game Kallanpa & Kallaquinto.

The size of the painting is 28,5 x 21 cm

It was painted in 2023.
