I painted "The Circle of Life" with watercolor on 300gsm watercolor paper. I love the wonders of nature and prefer to depict them with watercolor. In this painting you see the diaethria clymena, the Cramer's 88 butterfly. This beautiful butterfly has peculiar spots on its hindwings, which look like the number 88. The upper side of his wings are black with blue-green iridescent bands and spots. To capture this iridescence, I've used an iridescent medium. In the painting, I've showed both sides of its wings and the caterpillar of this gorgeous butterfly.
