I made this painting in 2024 with water-soluble graphite on 300 gsm watercolor paper. A grey horse is born with a dark coat, but its coat becomes whiter as it ages, which creates the special white-gray pattern. This beautiful horse runs freely through the waves of the sea. With a lot of patience and love, I painted all the details in its coat and in the waves with water-soluble graphite. Water-soluble graphite is similar to watercolor and I found it extremely suitable for portraying the beauty of a grey horse.
