This painting is made with watercolor on 300 gsm watercolor paper. The beginning of a new day is always fantastic. The darkness makes place for new light; the sun slowly warming up the horizon and painting the sky in soft colors. The trees are backlit by the rising sun, which causes them to look almost black. I loved bringing this African sunrise to live in my painting "Dawn of a New Day".
